New Business Development Manager Joins The Filter

We are very excited to welcome our new Business Development Manager, John Lynch, who arrived at The Filter this week.

John started his career in the Economist Group in the early 90s. He then followed the sunshine and moved to Australia, where he has lived for the past 14 years amassing  a wealth of experience working in global marketing agencies, publishing and technology companies, including being the Asia Pacific Media Manager and Interactive Communications lead at IBM. He ran his own Digital Marketing company in Sydney is also the founder of Digital Ministry, Australia’s largest digital innovation blog site which is now branching out into the UK.

In 2009 he returned to his native Ireland (today he was teaching us how to say “Good Morning” in Gaelic) where he was Managing Director of agency.com , before settling down in Bath with his wife and four children. Having worked on most aspects of front-end communications and digital media, John is very much aware of the difficulty that content providers face in finding a competitive edge:

“The next frontier, I believe, is in reactive platforms and the intelligent use of the ever-increasing data exhaust created from user interaction with these platforms. What excited me about The Filter is their advanced thinking in this space which positions it perfectly to leverage this new wave of competitive advantage for its clients.”

With many exciting deals and prospects in the pipeline, the next few months will certainly be busy and full of interesting challenges for John. Welcome!
